About The
Savannah Ballet

Savannah Ballet Theatre was established in 1998 under the direction of Suzanne Braddy. Recognized as the premiere dance company in Southeast Georgia, SBT is known locally for its annual production of the holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Using WWII-era Savannah as the backdrop, it is an event that has become a tradition for the community and one that honors the history and unique character of the region. SBT presents a full season of classical and contemporary works and has staged productions of Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Peter Pan, and original adaptations of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Sleepy Hollow, and most recently, Jack the Ripper. Our dancers hail from all over the U.S. and even internationally.

"My daughter has been dancing with Savannah Ballet School of Dance since she was 3. She is 11 now and loves the confidence and skill she has gained through her years at this studio. She is a beautiful, healthy dancer thanks to the great team at Savannah Ballet!"

Julie Wade

"I'm Lucky enough to work for the non-profit portion of SBT and I love working here. The parents we have are loyal and there is no drama. My two girls dance here and I'm so happy to see their growth as dancers and human beings."
