Who are we?
Opened in 1988, Savannah Ballet School of Dance is Savannah’s premiere full service studio. The studio specializes in the Vaganova Technique method of classical ballet, but also offers exciting jazz, tap, and contemporary for ages 3 & up. Each class has small numbers for individualized attention. Students attend class in a state of the art studio and parents are able to observe classes via the camera system in the parent’s lounge. A professional recital in a beautiful theatre finishes out the year. Thousands of dancers have been educated at SBSD since 1988, and many have gone on to become professional dancers. Come see why!
Savannah’s Premiere School of Dance
Ms. Sue founded the school to educate dancers and encourage arts appreciation. Since 1988, our teachers have educated thousands of dancers in the art of ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary. Dancers drive from all over southeast Georgia and South Carolina to be a part of the movement at SBSD! Every year our students are accepted at Garrison School for the Performing Arts and Savannah Arts Academy as Dance Majors. Along with local accomplishments, dancers have been accepted into illustrious year round schools like The Gelsey Kirkland Academy in NYC, and the Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C. Several students beat 3000 other dancers from Georgia to attend the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. We train champions and it begins with you! Register HERE!
We have studios with full length mirrors, clear surround sound, spring floors, plenty of barre space,
and a parent’s lounge with a video stream to watch your dancer.
Our classes are small with caring, professional instructors, to give your child more focused attention.
There are several performance opportunities throughout the year culminating with a year-end recital.
