Savannah Ballet Theatre is a professional company, and its philosophy is that dancers gain the most valuable and relevant experience from participation in a full season of fully-staged productions.

The season is supported by state and local grants, corporate title sponsorships, and private donations. These enable SBT to present performances at venues like the Lucas and Trustees Theatres and to promote them to a broad audience of regional dance patrons.

Company members commit to a full season (late August – May) of Saturday company classes (10 am – 11:30 am), rehearsals, and participation in two professionally-staged performances. Auditions are open to the public. Contact Managing Director, Abby McCuen, with any questions.

Auditions for pre-professional students (ages 14 & up) and professional dancers (ages 18 & up) will be held on Saturday, April 8th, 2017, from 10 am-12 pm at our studio on Whitemarsh Island. Please bring your resume/bio and a headshot. Cost is $20. For more information, click HERE.

Please e-mail Managing Director Abby McCuen for more information.

Education and Outreach

Savannah Ballet Theatre is committed to meaningful community education and outreach. Each season, we fully and partially subsidize tickets and transportation for two performances of professionally staged ballets. Local school children, seniors, and military families are invited to attend a special performance of The Golden Pecan: The Prequel to the Nutcracker in the fall and a second, family-friendly, fairy-tale ballet in the spring. We even provide study guides before the ballet!  Contact us for more information.
