Rebecca Dugal

Born and raised in Savannah, GA, Rebecca started her dance training at a very young age at the Islands Dance Academy. She was invited to join the Savannah Danse Theatre where she continued her training under the direction of Suzanne Braddy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Birmingham-Southern College studying Dance and Art. There, she received awards such as “Dedication to the Arts” and “Excellence in Dance.” She went on to perform professionally with the Birmingham Ballet, Contemporary South Dance Company, and the Montgomery Ballet. Over the years, Rebecca has performed lead roles such as Kitri in Don Quixote, Clara, Dew Drop Fairy and Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker and soloist roles from ballets such as Raymonda, Giselle, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty. Living in Alabama the past 10 years, Rebecca not only danced professionally but also worked as a wedding planner and coordinator. Out of a passion for creativity and helping others, Rebecca started her own calligraphy and design business. She is thrilled to be back in her hometown and honored to be working and dancing for SBT!

Micayla Frank

Micayla Frank began her training at New Jersey School of Ballet in Somerville, New Jersey.  She then went on to study at age twelve with Nadege Hottier at Premier Division and French Academie of Ballet in New York City.  Micayla has attended ballet summer intensives at Kirov Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Rock School, Premier Division, French Academie of Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Manhattan Youth Ballet, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet and Orlando Ballet where she received a partial scholarship. Micayla was also a dancer for the NBA G League Erie Bayhawks for their 2018 and 2019 seasons.  She performed in The Nutcracker with Lake Erie Ballet in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Micayla recently graduated from Mercyhurst University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.  While at Mercyhurst University, she danced in full staged performances of Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, On Broadway, and The Nutcracker. She is excited to begin her first season with Savannah Ballet Theatre.

Rebecca Kendall

Rebecca is an Atlanta native. Her past training and performance experience includes being a member of Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education’s Academy levels IV and V, where she performed in John McFall’s Sleeping Beauty, Bruce Wells’ Pinocchio and Snow White, and Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker. Rebecca graduated from high school in 2016 with High Honors, and was the recipient of the Performing Arts award from Bridgeway Academy. After graduating from Atlanta Ballet, Rebecca moved to Charlotte, NC where she pursued a professional dance career, performing with Audrey Baran’s Baran Dance and Martha Connerton’s Kinetic Works as a company member, and with Gay Porter’s Charlotte Youth Ballet as a guest artist. After two years of professional free-lance work in Charlotte, Rebecca moved back in Georgia and is now dancing her second season with Savannah Ballet Theatre as a company member.

Laura Lee

Laura Lee is performing for her second year as a company member with Savannah Ballet Theatre.  She danced as a soloist for four years with Continental Ballet Company in Bloomington, Minnesota where she performed in many classic ballets including Giselle, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, and Les Sylphides.  Laura has also danced professionally with Ballet Minnesota, Saint Paul City Ballet, Twin Cities Ballet, and as a guest artist with Metropolitan Ballet.  Laura trained under the direction of Tatiana Berenova, a former Bolshoi Belarus Principal dancer, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the University of Minnesota.   She has received full scholarships to Joffrey Ballet School summer programs and most recently completed Open World Dance Foundation’s Vaganova technique summer intensive in Saint Petersburg, Russia.  Laura’s choreography has also received recognition as she received grant funding to create new works from both the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and Undergraduate Research Opportunities Grant board.

Madison Lynn

Madison is from Huntsville Alabama, where she began dancing at a young age under Olga Jacobs. She moved to Community Ballet Association in 2006, home of Huntsville Ballet where she danced until 2019. As of 2008, she began dancing under the direction of Phillip Otto and Rachel Butler within the Huntsville Ballet School. In 2010 she began attending summer intensives around the country to further her training. She has spent time training with professional companies such as Ballet Austin, Carolina Ballet, Next Generation Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet. She joined Huntsville Ballet as a professional company member for her first season in 2016 and went on to spend three seasons in the company. She has performed many roles with Huntsville Ballet Company such as Sugar Plum in Nutcracker, Tiger Lily in Huntsville Ballet Company’s Peter Pan, and Christine in Phantom of the Ballet. She moved to Savannah to join Savannah Ballet Theatre last year and is excited for her second season with the company.

Elizabeth Pennington

Elizabeth Pennington is returning for her 12th season with SBT. Pennington calls SBT home and has been dancing for Suzanne Braddy since 2009. She attended Savannah Arts Academy for high school, as a dance major, under the direction of Christina Bunn, Christine Shawl, and Andrea Martinez. She has since earned her Associate’s degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from South University and continues to work towards her life goal of treating and healing dancers. Pennington continues to find her favorite moments in the ballet when telling stories and bringing characters to life. Some of her favorite roles with SBT have been The Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid, The White Cat and Puss n’ Boots in Sleeping Beauty, and Mrs. Macready in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
