Olivia Boyd

Olivia Boyd attended Mercyhurst University where she majored in Dance – Performance with a minor in Arts Administration under the tutelage of Tauna Hunter, Michael Gleason, C. Noelle Partusch, and many others. She received most of her initial training in Macon, GA at Dance Arts Studio under the direction of Jean Weaver and Alice Strawn Sheridan. She also attended various summer intensives to include The Rock School, ABT, Houston Ballet, and Orlando Ballet. Her favorite role ever performed is Sugar Plum in SBT’s Nutcracker. Some of her favorite ballets to have been a part of were SBT’s Little Mermaid andWizard of Oz, as well as Feminae Martis by Sarah Grace Mastrocola. Olivia is excited to join SBT for her 5th season!

Shannon Lowery

Shannon is originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania, where she began her classical dance training at the Allegheny Ballet Company. She auditioned and was selected to train in the Full-Time High School Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School her senior year of high school. She then went on to pursue her Bachelor of the Arts in Dance, concentration in ballet, and minor in business management at Point Park University Conservatory of the Performing Arts. She was an academic and artistic scholarship recipient and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in May of 2014. A highlight of her college education was the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, France, where she studied dance at Studio Harmonique. She has also trained with Orlando Ballet School, Ballet West/University of Utah and Bodiography Contemporary Dance Company. Shannon joined Savannah Ballet Theatre as a Soloist for the 2014-2015 season and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2017. Some of her favorite roles at Savannah Ballet have been the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and Mrs. Gulch/The Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz. She enjoys her work as a full-time digital marketer and is a Savannah-enthusiast. She is grateful for the continuous support of her family and friends and blessed to have found a family in SBT.

Ashley Mallory

Ashley Mallory Lindler began her ballet training at the Dancer’s Studio of Lexington, the forerunner of today’s Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education in 1995. She continued studying dance under the tutelage of Mimi Worrell, Joulia Moisseeva, Nancy Atkinson, Amy Shuler and McCree O’Kelley with the Center for Dance Education. She attended Ballet Austin’s and Boston Ballet’s Summer Intensive programs during the summers of 2007-2009. She is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance Performance & Choreography and a minor in Business Administration. While in college, she was awarded The USC Board of Dance for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. She had the opportunity to perform some of George Balanchine’s most iconic choreographic works as well as other pieces from the contemporary repertoire. Ballets including Stars and StripesFaust, SerenadeWestern SymphonyGreat Galloping GottschalkWho Cares?, La SourceBrahmsSchoeberg Quartet and Emeralds. She is currently a Ballet Instructor for Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education. She is a certified Pre-Primary-Level 3 and Level 4-5 instructor for the internationally acclaimed American Ballet Theatre Teacher Training program and received a special professional development grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission (2015 & 2018). She is the Administrative Assistant for the Columbia Music Festival Association and Assistant to the Directors of the Carolina Ballet. She is in her fourth season of dancing with Savannah Ballet Theatre and her third season as a Principal Dancer!


Avery McGee

Avery is from Wilmington, Delaware. Her career began at the Delaware Dance Company. She graduated from Point Park University earning her BA in Dance, with a concentration in Ballet. At Point Park, Avery performed in pieces including Peter Merz’s I Gaze Upon the World in Wonder, Jessica Lang’s La Belle, and George Balanchine’s Serenade. This is Avery’s fourth season with Savannah Ballet Theatre and is excited to be performing the role of The Sugar Plum Fairy once again. Some of her other favorite roles with SBT include Snow Queen and Flower Sister in The Nutcracker and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Avery would like to thank her family for their endless support and sends all her love to those watching the show from above.
